Your Message: I have been a regular since they began. They're so great i would like to offer my storefront for a Jeff Park Pasadita with a lifetime lease if they want. They dont know what they're missing here & I need one closer to me.

Your Message: I have been coming here since I was a teenager, which is about 20 years, and this is by far the best place for burrito's I have ever been to in my life! I now live in Grayslake, which is an hour to an hour and a half from La Pasadita, but when I am in the mood for one I will drive all the way down just for a burrito! To die for! I wish someone would give my a couple of burrito's for Christmas-that would be the best present I would want. I have taken every friend and even every girlfriend I ever had and now my wife and kids here to try it. Once you go, your hooked! Would you guys consider shipping your burrito's to me? Please? Maybe you can pack them in dry ice. Seriously! e-mail me at ahurto@rustoleum.com

Your Message: I moved to Los Angeles about 4 yrs ago and I can honestly say nothing out here comes close to the tacos sold at your joint. You should come out here and open one, we need an authentic taco place.

Having eaten at almost every burrito joint in Chicago and various cities, I'll say this -- I have never brought a friend here who has not come to the same conclusion: The best steak burrito. Be prepared - cilantro infused salsa with great bite. No lettuce. No globs of runny refried beans or tidbits of tomato are thrown in. None. All mouthwatering steak. Wash it down with an Orchata.

Being a Chicago native, I got spoiled with La Pasadita. When I moved to the suburbs, The 40 minute drive for the finest Mexican food was no big deal. I now live in North Carolina and I make regular trips back just to stock up on 20 - 40 Burritos to bring back with me to sustain my cravings. This is absolutely the best burrito I have had, anywhere. The steak is done perfectly and the balance of cilantro, onions and cheese make this the best. Unlike others, Pasadita does NOT load thier burritos with beans and other fluff to make them look "big", They will hold their own against any other burrito and you can rest assured that it is all steak, steak, steak.

Pros: Great food and salsa, Quick service

After visiting La Pasadita for about 15 years, I have moved to Texas three years ago, and every time I have a chance to get back to Chicago, this is my one 'must' stop. The decision is tough. It is either a couple of steak tacos with cheese and chile relleno or the steak burrito with cheese. It is served with a no-nonsense spicy green chile salsa, onions, and cilantro. No beans, rice, lettuce or tomatos served here. Order the Orchata (rice water). You can get soft drinks or lemonade anywhere. Atmosphere is spartan at the stand on the east side of the street. About 12 stools at two counters. Can't say I've been to the roomier restaurant across the street on the west side of Ashland in about five years. fxn2doit@home.com - Andrew, 11/11/2001
